I do not speak Spanish very well - Do you speak English?

My grandfather Antonio Iglesias Bocija La Coruna ES born October 19, 1891

His father Manuel Bocija, his mother Liboria Iglesias
Paternal grandfather Juna Bocija, paternal grandmother Manuela Lozano

His maternal grandfather Jose Iglesias (Yglesias), paternal grandmother
Escolastica Silviera.

His Brother Manuel and I know he had sisters. One sister left Spain after she married and moved somewhere in South America so I was told. She and her husband had children. I was told that she came back to Spain after her husband died. I have a picture of my great grandmother and 2 of her daughters.

Can you help with any information on this last name? Thank you.

Bocija,

I am wondering what exactly your question is. If you want to know about this family in particular maybe there can be someone who read this website and can help you. If you want to know about the surnames then you can search for them in surnames (apelidos). If you dont find them there you can ask about it in here. Just put the surname in subject and then explain what you want to know. Reading this message i cannot deduce what kind of information you are looking for.

Regards,

José

I am looking for information about the family. My grandfather left Spain alone as a child at the age of 9. He worked on fishing ships and other ships before arriving in Cuba, then onto to the United States. We never knew what happened to his family or why he left. We knew his mother was still alive and he had sisters. He went back to Spain as an elderly man maybe 7 or 8 times and brought his family clothing and other things prior to his death. My father and his brother have been wanting to know more about the family and they are now elderly themselves. There are no other Bocija in the United States. My Grandmother Carmen Alonso from Orsense also came to this country she had no family here either. She died in 1944.
